Join Hannah from Submerge Art to learn how to design, carve and print your own unique linocut print in a friendly supportive environment.
During the 3 hour workshop you will learn how to draw and then transfer a geometric image onto lino, to safely cut it out, and then hand print it onto a greetings card to take home.
• Understand vocabulary and techniques of printmaking.
• Understanding the steps needed to plan and create a successful print.
• Hand burnish a simple patterned design using softcut lino and ink stamp pads.
• Take home one or more hand printed cards that you can keep and frame or give as a gift.
Suitable for beginners with no previous printmaking experience.
Lino cutting equipment will be provided for the workshop, with a reasonable amount of paper and ink per person. Aprons and plastic gloves will be provided but please wear old clothes.
